(Notimex).- El presidente Barack Obama no pudo evitar dejarse llevar por los acordes de "Amor a la mexicana" y aceptó una invitación de Thalía para bailar por unos momentos con la diva mexicana.La inesperada demostración de las habilidades de bailarín del mandatario, fue uno de los momentos más significativos de la "Noche Latina", el evento que reunió en la Casa Blanca a algunos de los más reconocidos artistas hispanos.
Thalía, quien precedió en el escenario a Marc Anthony, se dirigió en forma inicial a la primera dama Michelle Obama antes de pedir al mandatario bailar, a lo que el presidente estadunidense accedió de buen gusto.

La demostración fue atestiguada también por Sasha y Malia, las hijas del mandatario, que asistieron al evento junto con su abuela materna.
El festejo, presidido por el mandatario, su esposa y algunos miembros de su gabinete, marcó el epílogo de los eventos con motivo del mes de la Herencia Hispana.
En su oportunidad, el mandatario dijo que "como la comunidad latina, los ritmos musicales no son fáciles de definir".
"Sonidos como la salsa, bolero, bachata, el norteño y el reggaetón son tan vibrantes y únicos como los lugares de donde provienen".

Obama dijo que el "espíritu de esta diversidad también nos une", y aludió los ritmos traídos antes por otros inmigrantes, los esclavos traídos del Africa, la guitarra por los españoles y el acordeón por los alemanes.
"Aun cuando evoluciona de manera constante, la música hispana nos habla en un lenguaje que todos entendemos. Sobre esperanza, alegría, lamentos y dolor, amistad y amistad, es una música que nos mueve", dijo.
Obama indicó que "al final lo que hace la música hispana grande es lo que hace el país grande, nuestra habilidad de celebrar nuestras diferencias a la vez que creamos algo nuevo".
