A force to be reckoned with in Mexican music, Pepe Aguilar was one of the first to grace the Latin Grammys stage. Aguilar's traditional charro suit stole the show, don't you think?

Laura Pausini opened the show with her hit "En Cambio No", accompanied by participants from TV show "Le Reve." Given the graceful acrobats and Laura's soothing music, it almost seemed like the opening to an obscure circus instead of an awards ceremony. Boy, were we wrong...

Eva Longoria and Alejandro Sanz were all smiles at the ceremony, right before presenting an award. Their light-hearted attitude set the tone for the night's proceedings, on as well as off stage.

Luis Fonsi took to the stage for a short, but sweet medley of his most recent hits, although his undone tie suggested he'd been singing for hours. Still, it's a given for Fonsi, a great showsman no matter what the occasion.

Reggaeton duo Wisin y Yandel's performance was half-music video and half live show. They begun their performance on the big screen with a previously recorded clip, before bursting on to the stage with a suprisingly simple performance of "Abusadora."

Despite the media frenzy surrounding him since his last awards show appearance, Calle 13's Residente seemed resilient (and hey, he took home a few awards!) The reggaeton duo kicked off "La Perla" with a bunch of tough tykes who emulated Residente down to a tee.

Alejandra Guzmán staged a comeback at the Latin Grammys, following a controversial operation that almost left the singer dead. Fully recuperated, she even made it a point to flaunt her dress before presenting the night's first Grammy.

Reik made their Latin Grammy debut with an incredible rendition of their hit "Inolvidable." They later snagged an award for "Best Pop Album by a Duo or Group." An unforgettable night, indeed.

Mexican comic Eugenio Derbez spent the night trying to get some laughs out the audience, with a bunch of jokes and sketches that missed the mark. Not one to bite his tongue, he even made fun of fellow celebs' relationships and divorces. Not cool.

If the kids weren't enough, Calle 13's "La Perla" was further highlighted by the iconic salsa singer Rubén Blades, who singlehandedly stole the show - without a politically charged t-shirt.
