Londres, 8 de mayo, 2008.- La cantante británica Amy Winehouse fue puesta en libertad anoche, bajo fianza, tras ser detenida horas antes en relación con presuntos delitos de drogas, informó hoy Scotland Yard.

    La artista, de 24 años, fue interrogada ayer en una comisaría de la capital británica, según un portavoz de la artista.

    La Policía se había limitado a informar ayer de que una mujer de 24 años del área de Camden, barrio londinense donde vive la cantante, se personó en una comisaría de policía a la que había sido citada y fue arrestada por presunta posesión de drogas.

    "La mujer permanece detenida. Esto está relacionado con una investigación conectada con una grabación que se pasó a la Policía Metropolitana el 22 de enero", dijo una portavoz policial.

    Ese día, el periódico sensacionalista británico "The Sun" colgó en su página web un vídeo en el que aparecía Winehouse, en una fiesta en su casa, supuestamente fumando "crack".

      La cantante, que con cinco premios fue la gran triunfadora de la última edición de los Grammy, explicaba en la grabación que se había tomado también "seis valiums", éxtasis y cocaína.

      La detención se produce después de que la cantante pasase el mes pasado una noche en la comisaría de Holborn, en el centro de la capital británica, después de que se presentase voluntariamente ante la Policía para ser interrogada sobre un aparente caso de agresión.

      Amy Winehouse no es la única con problemas legales en la familia ya que su marido, Blake Fielder-Civil, de 25 años, está en prisión preventiva acusado de agredir al dueño de un "pub" y de intentar obstaculizar la acción de la Justicia.

      La cantante, con una fortuna estimada de 10 millones de libras (unos 12,7 millones de euros o 20 millones de dólares) y de cuyo segundo álbum, "Back to Black", se llevan vendidos cuatro millones de ejemplares, ha sido incluida en el décimo lugar de la lista de Jóvenes Millonarios de la Música.
